Anacortes ferry suspended after bridge inspection flags issue
Passenger-only runs from Cap Sante begin tonight as WSDOT completes new checks on the bridge.

The Washington State Department of Transportation found a problem with the Anacortes bridge during an inspection this afternoon, forcing Skagit County to cancel regular ferry service immediately.
Crews will perform additional inspections on the structure tomorrow morning, Tuesday, October 27, to determine the next steps. The county plans to release more details to the public once those checks are finished.
To keep passengers moving, Arrow Launch will run two passenger-only trips from Cap Sante A Dock tonight. The first leaves at 8:00 p.m., and the second departs at 8:30 p.m. Riders need a ticket for these sailings, and ferry staff will be on site to help with boarding and ticket scanning.
Passengers are advised to park only in designated spots at the Port of Anacortes to keep the area clear for operations. Those with mobility questions should talk to the crew upon arrival at Cap Sante, as the vessel is not using its usual terminal.
Regular passenger service resumes tomorrow morning on the standard schedule. The first run starts at 6:30 a.m., and the final trip leaves at 9:15 a.m. from Cap Sante.
