Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl halftime show on February 14, 2027. The rapper and his production company, Roc Nation, confirmed the booking for the event at SoFi Stadium. This marks the first time since 2019 that the headliner is also the primary producer of the show. The NFL and Roc Nation have partnered on the halftime production since the 2019 game, but Jay-Z is making a personal appearance this cycle.

While the date and venue are set, the identity of the two teams playing in the championship game remains unknown until late January. The focus now shifts to the musical lineup. Jay-Z has not officially announced any special guests, yet industry observers and fans are already projecting a shortlist of potential collaborators based on past associations.

Beyoncé is the most frequently cited name. The couple has been married since 2018 and share three children. Their musical history spans two decades, including the 2003 single "Crazy in Love" and the 2013 track "Drunk in Love." Beyoncé has extensive experience on the NFL stage, having performed with Coldplay and Bruno Mars in 2016. She also sang the national anthem in Houston in 2001 and performed a dedicated halftime set during a Christmas Day game in 2024.

Rihanna is another strong candidate. Jay-Z served as the CEO of Def Jam Records when he discovered her in 2005. She moved to Roc Nation in 2010, and the two have released tracks such as "Umbrella" and "Run This Town." Rihanna made a surprise appearance on Jay-Z’s recent tour at Yankee Stadium. Her own Super Bowl headlining performance in 2023 is widely considered one of the best in recent memory.

The list also includes Eminem, who joined Jay-Z on stage during his current tour. The two rappers collaborated on the track "Renegade" from the 2001 album The Blueprint. Eminem previously served as a special guest at the 2022 halftime show, where he joined a hip-hop ensemble.

Finally, Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s daughter, Blu Ivy Carter, is a possibility. She has danced in her mother’s performances, including the 2024 Christmas Day halftime show and the Cowboy Carter tour. Blu Ivy often attends NFL games with her father, suggesting a family-oriented performance could be in the cards.
