Heated Rivalry Marathon Arrives at Ontario Theaters

The six-episode first season of Crave's Heated Rivalry is coming to big screens across Ontario.

Cineplex theaters in the province will host the screenings, with tickets available for purchase online starting today. The full season marathon runs for five hours and 22 minutes. This theatrical release is part of a wider rollout that includes North America, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand.

Two main screening options are available to moviegoers. A complete marathon of all six episodes is priced at $24.99. Alternatively, viewers can buy two-episode blocks for $9.99 per screening. These shorter blocks will be shown on Nov. 6, Nov. 10, and Nov. 11. Fans can choose to watch episodes one and two, three and four, or five and six.

The full six-episode marathon will take place on Nov. 8. An additional marathon screening is scheduled for Nov. 17 at 25 locations across the country. Hana Palmer, executive director of global distribution and partnerships at Sphere Abacus, called the series a global phenomenon. She said the company is excited to let audiences watch the drama unfold on the big screen.

The series is based on Rachel Reid's bestselling book series Game Changers. It follows Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, two rival stars in Major League Hockey. The story tracks their secret relationship over eight years as they navigate their competitive careers. The show explores their journey through love, denial, and self-discovery.

Specific Ontario locations for the full marathon include Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan, SilverCity Richmond Hill Cinemas, and Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Dundas. Other venues screening the marathon are Cineplex Odeon Eglinton Town Centre Cinemas, Cineplex Cinemas Courtney Park, and Cineplex Cinemas Winston Churchill. Additional full marathon sites include Cineplex Odeon Ajax Cinemas, SilverCity Burlington Cinemas, Galaxy Cinemas Barrie, and Cineplex Cinemas Ancaster.

Season 2 of the show will add new cast members to the lineup. Confirmed additions include Emily Hampshire, who appeared in Schitt's Creek, and Edvin Ryding, known for 28 Years Later. Sabrina Jalees, who has worked on Black Mirror, is also joining the cast for the next season.
